Little Three Creeks Lake
This week's adventure took us to Little Three Creeks Lake. It was a small lake just above a slightly larger lake called...you guessed it Three Creeks Lake. They both sit just below the Tam McArthur Rim. I would tell you about the rim pictured below but I don't remember what we read about it on the information sign. This was a nice and close hike. It only took us about 20 minutes to get to the trailhead. The hike was perfect for the young hikers in our party. It was two miles round trip with very little elevation gain. The starting elevation was much higher than any of our previous hikes this summer thus the temperature was much cooler. We all wore long pants and jackets which were needed mostly to fend off blood thirsty mosquitoes. Thankfully the wind picked up a little to help battle the bugs. We found the perfect spot near the edge of the water to eat our snacks, snap a few photos and throw rocks into the icy cold water.
